Blessed and Privileged

I am so blessed and privileged 🙂

I have my parents, a house to live in with all facilities, food to eat, a job, many clothes, two-wheeler to ride, education to survive, and much more. I am grateful for it most of the days yet sometimes I take it for granted. I try to find happiness in small things and situations as I truly seek happiness in my life but at times I forget that even a hug or appreciation from a parent is a reason to be happy, or even able to write this, is a privilege with all the necessities I am provided for.

There are too many people in the world fighting for some thing or the other.

I want something in my life, and I am working for it, but someone else in the world could desire what I already have. People compare others by where they are in life but do all of us reach exact places even if we do same things in life. Some get higher education from top universities and get a good job and earn tremendously. Some might have to struggle a lot to find a job and sustain a stable lifestyle. But society measures others only by the successes they have achieved in their lives and not by the struggles they have been through.

\"blessed-stop-comparing\"

Everyone is not supposed to be at the same level of achievement or there will be a disbalance, and they should not be judged by the same societal set parameter. Like, “he is 25 he should earn a certain amount for the family”, or “she is 30 she should be married and have kids”, “he/she should settle”. People struggle in many phases and judgements made by society are often too harsh for them. Who decides these norms, we only right, can\’t we change them for better and let people live however they want to, in whatever that makes them happy? Do we(society) need to police the lives of others?

Be grateful for things you have, work for things you want to have in future but do not take the things or people you have now for granted. Everyone can not be a millionaire, but we can all find happiness and solace in where we are and what we have in our life. Stop comparing and start living happily.
