June 16 Café: Cute Little Café

When in Bir, Himanchal Pradesh do not, I repeat do not miss to visit this cute little café which is only 5 minutes away from Paragliding Landing Site. The Café is owned by Sumit and Ritu and they have named it, June 16 because this was the date they came into a relationship. Cute, yes, it is and so are they.

The Vibe of the café is very chill, and people enjoy their meal and the serenity of the place. Very cozy pastel coloured furniture, with some books around and the menu written on a blackboard surface with beautiful coloured chalks and pretty handwriting.

To share my experience, I went to the café, I was intrigued by the desserts counter but instead decided to have Pancake with Chocolate syrup and an Americano. Pancakes were so yummy, I literally forgot to click a picture and dug into it, loved the pancakes. To enjoy peaceful and delicious food is a blessing for people with hectic jobs in chaotic cities. From the café, I could just admire the valley, mountains and drizzles of rain, which was adding to my experience of this place.

I loved the pancakes so much that I decided to take the friends I made in Bir to go and have food at June 16 Café. The place was full as it was cold outside, and everyone was preferring to get a table inside. We managed to have a table for us and ordered Falafel and Hummus, Maggi, White Sauce Pasta, Cappuccinos and Latte-Macchiato. The food and beverages were delicious but the show-stealer for me, as I have sweet tooth was the desserts, we ordered Chocolate brownies, Carrot cake and Walnut and Berries cake, I literally am drooling while writing this, they were so good. Desserts were freshly baked by Sumit.

The hospitability is good, with nice ambience, quotes and books around, decently priced and value for money, I would totally recommend people visiting Bir to visit June 16 café you won’t regret it and if by any chance you missed it, you always have a next time to do things.
